Chapter 8.5 is the fifth chapter of the second volume and the overall thirteenth chapter of Fruits Basket Another, written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya.
Summary[]
The students at Kaibara High, including Sawa Mitoma, her friends, Sora Sohma, Mutsuki Sohma and Hajime Sohma talks about their exam grades and how they did. They also talk about their upcoming trip to the Sohma Summer Vacation House, and Sawa expresses that she is excited to go.

- Chiaki Hasada mentions towards the end that the Sohma's vacation house is great because a bear named "Jason" lives there.
- This is a direct reference to the time when Shigure Sohma tried to scare Kyo Sohma and Tohru Honda by telling them that a bear named Jason lived there, when in fact Jason is the name of a serial killer. Kyo and Tohru were both unaware that Jason was, in fact, a serial killer and not a bear.
- Hajime mentions that he's (comically) devastated that his father is still being teased by the Jason thing even after several years.
