Summary[]
Kyo takes part in a card game with Tohru's friends. Escorting her home after work, Yuki is transformed into his rat form and explains normality is what he wants, whilst Kyo desires to be one of the zodiac animals that he himself is.
Plot[]
It is Autumn and at school Tohru elects to play a card game with Kyo as well as Arisa and Saki. Kyo’s attitude changes when Arisa challenges him having called into question his capabilities.
In a corridor Yuki is turning down a potential relationship with a girl and prevents her from hugging him.
Meanwhile Arisa has succeeded in winning the card game as Yuki observes them playing.
Having lost the round Kyo is cleaning the classroom and declines help from Tohru. Agitated, Kyo wishes to fight Yuki yet is swiftly incapacitated.
Annoyed, Yuki departs and Kyo attempts to not vent his frustration on Tohru.
At work Tohru hears of someone waiting outside, it is Yuki who has come to pick her up. After being bumped into by her, Yuki transforms into his rat form.
Walking home he explains there he felt like he was living in jail over watched by Akito and other relatives when he just wanted to live normally. He envies Kyo since although he does not like strangers, people seem to like him and so it annoys Yuki to hear that Kyo wants to be one of the twelve zodiacs.
Changing back to a human they then arrive home. Yuki heads out once more to check on his vegetable garden in the midst of heavy rain. He states Tohru is a nice person for coming to help him. She remembers her mothers words for her to become someone who can be trusted.
Kyo does not appear too pleased to be served leek from the garden, in fact he hates it. Hearing someone at the door Tohru notices a girl calling herself Kagura.
