Chapter 43 is the first chapter of the eighth volume and the overall forty-third chapter of the Fruits Basket manga series, written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya.
Summary[]
As school continues as usual, Hatsuharu suddenly goes “really” Black and smashes his class homeroom, since he had recently been dumped by Rin Sohma, a fellow member of the Zodiac. Hatsuharu almost directs his anger towards Tohru, but Kyo saves her in time. In the process, Kyo calls Tohru by her name in front of everyone for the first time. Yuki and the others take notice of this, and Yuki is once again forced to interrogate his feelings towards Tohru. Meanwhile, Tohru finds an anxious person by the house's doorstep, who is revealed to be another member of the Zodiacs, namely Ritsu Sohma.
