Fruits Basket: Three Musketeers Arc (フルーツバスケット：マブダチ特別編, Furūtsu Basuketto: Mabudachi Tokubetsu-hen) is a spin-off story of the original Fruits Basket manga, written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya.

Fruits Basket: The Three Musketeers Arc is released as a digital simulpub and has a total of three chapters with 13 pages each. The first chapter shipped in the magazine's combined 10th and 11th issues on Saturday, the second chapter shipped in the 13th issue on June 5, and the third chapter shipped in the 15th issue on July 5. The three chapters will center on "The Mabudachi Trio" (Ayame Sohma, Hatori Sohma, and Shigure Sohma; known as "The Three Musketeers" in English) from the original manga.

Fruits Baskets original Japanese publisher, Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume, revealed that the three new chapters of the Fruits Basket spin-off were in the works by Takaya. Yen Press picked up the license for the spin-off, the first chapter being released on April 23rd, 2019.^[1]^[2]

Plot[]

Fruits Basket: The Three Musketeers Arc takes place around the same time as the last chapter of Fruits Basket, and as such, Tohru Honda and the others are getting ready to graduate.

Our favorite trio takes center stage, as Shigure and Ayame descend on Hatori for an impromptu Three Musketeers’ banquet, hijinks, fourth-wall-breaking antics, and gossiping ensue. With lovebirds roaming around, the three can't help but notice it and make humorous remarks about it.
